The APEX MB-1214 is a 7/16-inch, 6-point deep impact socket with a hex drive and an integrated magnetic bolt clearance feature. Constructed from alloy steel, this socket is built to handle the torque loads generated by pneumatic and electric impact tools. A spring-loaded or hollow cylinder magnet allows a bolt or stud to retract into the socket body while keeping the nut firmly seated during installation. At 1-3/4 inches overall length, the deep configuration provides the clearance needed for extended studs and recessed fastener applications. It is a standard SAE socket meeting ANSI and DIN standards.
The MB-1214 is suited for mechanical, electrical, and HVAC service work where fastener retention and magnetic hold are required for controlled nut seating. The deep socket length makes it practical in confined spaces where a standard-length socket cannot reach flush-mounted or recessed hardware. Technicians working on equipment panels, motor housings, and structural fastener assemblies will find the magnetic retention especially useful for one-handed fastener placement.
Designed as an OEM-style impact socket for use with hex drive impact wrenches and ratchets accepting a matching hex drive size. Fits standard SAE 7/16-inch fastener applications.
This socket is intended for use by qualified trades technicians operating impact-rated hand tools or power impact wrenches. Verify the drive size of the impact tool matches the hex drive specification of the socket before use. Inspect the socket for cracks or deformation before each use and replace if damaged. Do not use impact sockets with non-impact hand ratchets beyond their rated torque range.
