The APEX 80619 is a deep-length, 6-point socket designed for 1/2 inch drive applications. Built from alloy steel with a full polish chrome finish, it fits 13/16 inch fasteners and delivers reliable torque transfer in confined or deep-reach situations. The 6-point geometry uses off-corner loading, which applies force to the flat faces of the fastener rather than the corners. This reduces rounding on worn or tight fasteners and extends the working life of both the socket and the hardware. At 3.031 inches in length and 0.42 pounds, it is well suited for professional use in automotive, mechanical, and industrial service environments.
This deep socket is intended for situations where a standard-length socket cannot reach a recessed fastener or a long bolt protrusion. Typical applications include engine work, suspension service, and equipment maintenance where fasteners are seated below the surface or threaded onto extended studs. It is sold individually and fits any 1/2 inch drive ratchet, breaker bar, or torque wrench.
Designed for use with any 1/2 inch drive tool, including ratchets, extensions, breaker bars, and torque wrenches. Fits 13/16 inch fasteners in standard hex configurations.
Installed by mechanics, HVAC technicians, plumbers, and electricians as a general-purpose hand tool for fastener removal and installation. Ensure the drive tool is fully seated in the socket before applying torque to prevent slippage or damage. Inspect the socket for cracks or wear before use, and do not use impact-rated extensions or adapters unless the socket is rated for impact applications. Follow applicable service manual torque specifications when precise values are required.
