The ANVIL 390211126 is a rigid-style grooved coupling designed for secure, high-integrity pipe connections in demanding mechanical and industrial piping systems. Built from ASTM A536 Grade 65-45-12 ductile iron with an orange painted finish, this coupling provides a pressure rating of 300 PSI and a temperature range of -40 to 250 degrees F. The flush-gap design locks pipe segments in place with minimal angular deflection, making it the appropriate choice where pipe rigidity is critical. Installation is performed by licensed pipefitters, plumbers, and fire protection contractors working with grooved-end piping systems.
This coupling is suited for a wide range of applications including plumbing, mechanical, industrial piping, fire protection, mining, oil and gas, subfloor, crawlspace, trench, and tunnel installations. The 3-inch size accommodates Schedule 40 pipe at both the A and B end connections. The EPDM gasket is Grade EP with a green and red stripe, conforming to ASTM D2000, and is compatible with water-based services across the rated temperature range. Maximum end load is rated at 2,886 pounds.
Designed for use with 3-inch grooved-end pipe at Schedule 40 in plumbing, mechanical, industrial, fire protection, mining, oil and gas, subfloor, crawlspace, trench, and tunnel applications. This coupling is part of the Gruvlok Rigidlite product family and is listed under the 7400 model series.
Installation should be performed by a licensed pipefitter, plumber, or fire protection contractor following applicable codes including NFPA 13 for fire protection systems or the applicable mechanical or plumbing code for other services. De-pressurize and drain the piping system completely before disassembly or coupling installation. Bolts measure 3/8 inches in diameter by 2-3/4 inches in length and should be tightened evenly per the manufacturer's published torque sequence to ensure proper gasket seating. Inspect the grooved pipe ends for damage or out-of-tolerance conditions before installation.
