The ANDERSON METALS 757002-0804 is a lead-free brass barbed hose fitting configured as a female connector. It joins a 1/4 inch female NPT threaded port to a 1/2 inch inside diameter hose barb, creating a secure, leak-resistant transition between threaded pipe systems and flexible hose lines. The lead-free brass construction meets current plumbing material standards for potable water contact. At 0.07 pounds, the fitting is compact and lightweight. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and irrigation professionals install this type of fitting in both residential and light commercial applications wherever a threaded port must transition to flexible hose.
This fitting is suited for use in water supply, irrigation, HVAC condensate, and general fluid-handling systems that require a threaded-to-hose connection. The female NPT end threads onto a standard 1/4 inch male NPT port, while the barbed end accepts 1/2 inch ID flexible hose secured with a clamp. It is appropriate for low-pressure liquid service in tight spaces where a compact brass connector is preferred over larger transition fittings.
Designed as a standard-style barbed hose female connector for use with 1/4 inch NPT threaded ports and 1/2 inch ID flexible hose in residential and light commercial plumbing, HVAC, and irrigation systems.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber or HVAC technician. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before threading or unthreading any fitting. Apply thread sealant tape or compound to the male NPT threads before making up the connection. Secure the hose to the barb with an appropriately sized hose clamp to prevent pull-off under pressure.
