The ANDERSON METALS 757001-0506 is a male connector barbed hose fitting machined from lead free brass. It features a 3/8 inch NPT male threaded end on one side and a 5/16 inch ID hose barb on the other, creating a secure transition between a threaded port and a flexible hose line. This type of fitting is a standard component in plumbing, HVAC, and fluid-transfer systems where a threaded pipe or valve needs to connect to a barbed hose assembly. The lead free brass construction meets drinking water safety standards and delivers reliable corrosion resistance in wet service environments. Plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians reach for this fitting during both new installations and repair work.
This fitting is suited for residential and light commercial applications involving water lines, hydronic systems, equipment drain connections, and low-pressure fluid transfer. The NPT thread conforms to the tapered National Pipe Thread standard, allowing it to thread directly into standard NPT female ports on valves, manifolds, pumps, and equipment housings. The hose barb end is sized for 5/16 inch inside diameter hose and is designed to grip the hose interior when a clamp is applied, preventing pull-out under normal operating pressure.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for systems using 3/8 inch NPT female ports and 5/16 inch inside diameter flexible hose lines in plumbing and HVAC applications.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or qualified HVAC technicians. Shut off the water supply or depressurize the system before installing or replacing this fitting. Apply PTFE tape or pipe thread sealant to the NPT threads before threading into the female port, and tighten with a wrench to the appropriate engagement depth without over-torquing brass threads. Secure the hose to the barb end with an appropriately sized hose clamp to prevent leaks under pressure.
