The ANDERSON METALS 750066-0608 is a straight compression tube connector designed to join a compression-end tube to a female NPT port. Built from lead free brass, this fitting delivers a secure, leak-resistant connection in potable water, HVAC hydronic, and general plumbing applications. It carries a maximum working pressure of 2000 psi, making it suitable for higher-pressure service lines. The straight thread size is 9/16-24. Licensed plumbers and HVAC technicians specify this type of fitting when transitioning from copper or nylon tubing to a threaded port on a valve, manifold, or equipment inlet. Its compact brass body resists corrosion in both wet and dry environments.
This connector is appropriate for residential and light commercial plumbing, HVAC hydronic piping, refrigeration lines, and instrumentation tubing where a compression-to-FNPT transition is required. The 1/2 inch NPT thread on the female end mates with standard NPT-tapped ports. Installers use this fitting when connecting copper, brass, or compatible plastic tubing to equipment with a threaded female inlet. It is a single-piece, no-solder solution that requires no flux, open flame, or specialty equipment beyond standard compression tooling.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for compression-to-FNPT connections using 1/2 inch NPT threaded ports in plumbing, HVAC, and instrumentation systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified HVAC technician in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off and depressurize the supply line before disassembly or installation. Hand-tighten the NPT threads first, then apply appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male NPT threads before final tightening. Do not overtighten the compression nut, as this can deform the ferrule and cause leaks.
