The ANDERSON METALS 730081-06 is a compression tube end cap manufactured from lead free brass. It is designed to seal the open end of a compression tube fitting, stopping flow and capping off a line segment. The cap uses a 9/16-24 straight thread and a compression-style end connection, making it suitable for plumbing, fluid transfer, and instrumentation applications where a clean, pressure-rated termination is required. With a maximum working pressure of 2000 psi, it is rated for demanding service conditions. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers of this type of fitting.
This end cap is used in residential and light commercial plumbing systems, fluid power lines, and compressed gas or air distribution assemblies wherever a compression tube run needs to be capped or closed off. Its lead free brass construction meets requirements for potable water contact applications in systems that must comply with current low-lead standards. The compression-style connection allows installation without soldering or threading the tube end itself.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard compression fitting end cap for use with 9/16-24 compression tube assemblies in plumbing, fluid transfer, and pneumatic line applications.
This fitting is installed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter. Shut off and depressurize the line fully before removing any existing fitting or installing this cap. Verify that the tube end is clean, deburred, and properly seated before tightening the compression connection. Follow applicable IPC or local plumbing code requirements for fitting installation and pressure testing.
