The ANDERSON METALS -11089-7 is a brass pipe bushing designed to reduce a 3/4-inch female NPT port down to a 1/4-inch male NPT connection. This concentric hex bushing threads directly into a female-threaded fitting, valve, or equipment port and presents a male NPT thread for the smaller downstream line. Brass construction provides corrosion resistance and reliable sealing in low- and medium-pressure piping systems. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and gas fitters commonly use this type of reducing bushing when connecting smaller-diameter pipe or tubing assemblies to larger-threaded ports on valves, manifolds, and equipment.
This bushing is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing, heating, and gas distribution systems where a threaded size reduction is required inline. It is appropriate for water, air, and compatible gas service within the pressure and temperature ratings of standard brass NPT fittings. Package quantity is 2 pieces per unit.
Designed as a standard-thread reducing bushing for use in 1/4-inch by 3/4-inch NPT threaded piping systems in plumbing, HVAC, and gas applications.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or gas fitters depending on the service application. Shut off and depressurize the line completely before removing or installing any threaded fitting. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads per local code requirements, referencing IPC or IFGC as applicable. Do not overtighten brass fittings; use a wrench on the hex body only and avoid pipe wrenches on the body threads.
