The AMPROBE ACD-14 TRMS-PLUS is a True RMS HVAC clamp meter designed for field diagnostics on heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems. It measures AC and DC voltage up to 600 volts, current, resistance up to 40 megohms, frequency, temperature, continuity, and AC/DC microamps. The 4000-count digital display supports dual readout so technicians can monitor two parameters simultaneously. With a 1.0236-inch clamp-on jaw and CAT III safety rating, it handles the electrical environments common in commercial and residential HVAC work. Licensed HVAC technicians and electricians use this meter for startup, troubleshooting, and system commissioning.
This meter is built for HVAC applications where microamp measurement matters most, such as verifying flame sensor current on gas furnaces and testing low-voltage control circuits. The included temperature probe extends measurement from -4 to 500 degrees F, covering a wide range of HVAC operating and fault conditions. The full sensor range without the probe reaches -4 to 999 degrees F, making it useful for duct, surface, and flue temperature reads. Residential and light-commercial technicians will find it applicable across split systems, package units, gas furnaces, and heat pumps.
Designed as a general-purpose HVAC clamp meter suitable for residential and light-commercial electrical systems operating within CAT III 600-volt environments.
This meter is serviced and used by licensed HVAC technicians and electricians. De-energize circuits before attaching or removing test leads where safe and code-compliant. Always verify the CAT III rating is appropriate for the voltage environment before testing. Follow IEC 61010 safety practices and consult local electrical codes when working on line-voltage circuits.
