Install this cable only in SFP+ ports rated for active optical cable operation — confirm host device AOC compatibility before installation. Do not bend the cable beyond its minimum bend radius, as optical fiber is sensitive to sharp bends that can cause signal loss or permanent fiber damage. Power down or disable the relevant switch port before seating or removing the connector to avoid hot-swap damage on equipment that does not support it. Low-voltage cabling work in commercial environments may be subject to local codes and building permits depending on jurisdiction.
