American Standard 1660772 Hand Shower Kit 2.5 Gpm Polished Chrome

Product Description

The AMERICAN STANDARD 1660772 is a four-function handheld hand shower kit finished in polished chrome. It delivers a flow rate of 2.5 gallons per minute (GPM) and ships as a complete assembly, including a Spectra+ hand shower head, a 59-inch metal shower hose, and a shower arm bracket. The kit offers four selectable spray patterns, giving the installer and end user flexibility for rinse, massage, and general bathing applications. Easy Clean nozzles are built into the spray face to resist mineral buildup, making this kit a practical choice in hard water service areas.

This hand shower kit is suited for residential bathroom installations where a flexible, wall-mount supplemental shower is required. The 59-inch metal hose provides adequate reach for seated bathing, ADA-accessible shower conversions, and general handheld use. The polished chrome finish is designed to coordinate with AMERICAN STANDARD faucets and fixtures. Installation is straightforward for licensed plumbers or experienced finish trim contractors working on new construction or remodel projects.

Installation Notes

Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or qualified finish trim technician. Shut off the water supply to the shower before beginning any connections. Hand-tighten hose connections first, then snug with pliers using a cloth to protect the chrome finish - avoid overtightening, which can crack fittings. Follow local plumbing code requirements, including IPC provisions for handheld shower assemblies in accessible applications.
