The AMERICAN GRANBY nt100-100p is a 381-micron Vu-Flo inline screen filter designed for potable and non-potable water supply lines in residential and light commercial plumbing applications. The unit uses a polyester filter media backed by a stainless steel screen and requires no filter cartridge — the screen element is the filtration stage. Flow capacity ranges from 1 to 25 GPM, making it suited to a wide range of service scenarios. Installation follows a 180-degree in-line T-style configuration with 1-inch slip inlet and outlet connections. A 1/2-inch MPT cleanout with a purge valve is built into the body for field servicing without full line teardown.
This filter is intended for inline installation on water supply lines where sediment or particulate control is needed upstream of fixtures, appliances, or irrigation equipment. The T-style body orientation allows the filter housing to be accessed from the side of the pipe run, which simplifies servicing in tight mechanical spaces. The 381-micron mesh targets coarse sediment and debris. Licensed plumbers and water treatment technicians are the primary installers. The filter ships in carton quantities of 10, making it practical for contractors stocking multiple job sites or service vehicles.
Designed as an OEM-style inline screen filter for 1-inch slip-connection water supply piping in residential and light commercial plumbing systems where coarse particulate filtration is required.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber. Shut off the water supply and relieve line pressure before cutting into any existing pipe. Follow local plumbing code and IPC guidelines for filter placement, orientation, and any required shutoff isolation valves upstream and downstream of the filter body. Do not exceed the rated flow capacity of 25 GPM, and verify that line pressure falls within the filter body rating before returning the system to service.
