The ALORIS DA35 is a dovetail-style drill chuck holder designed for use with Series DA quick-change lathe tool posts. It accepts drill chucks and similar tooling for drilling, reaming, and boring operations performed directly on the lathe. The DA35 has an overall height of 2.5 inches and a centerline height of 2.8125 inches, with a maximum cutting tool size of 0.75 inches. The dovetail interface locks the holder securely into compatible quick-change tool post blocks, allowing machinists and toolroom operators to swap tooling without re-indicating center height on every change.

The DA35 is suited for engine lathes, toolroom lathes, and similar turning machines with a lathe swing between 17 and 48 inches. It is intended for production shops, toolrooms, and job shops where drilling and reaming on center at the lathe is a routine operation.
