The ALORIS CXA-22 is a CXA-series lathe tool post holder designed for turning and boring operations using carbide triangular inserts. It fits lathes with a swing range of 13 to 18 inches and stands 2 inches overall height, placing the centerline at 1-3/8 inches. The holder accepts a 3-inch boring bar and supports a maximum bore depth of 2-1/2 inches. Machinist and toolroom technicians use this holder on manual and CNC lathes where a rigid, repeatable insert-style tooling setup is required. It does not include through-coolant capability.

The CXA-22 is suited for production and job-shop turning and boring work on mid-size engine lathes and turret lathes with swings in the 13 to 18 inch range. It is compatible with TNM332 triangular carbide inserts with a 3/8-inch inscribed circle and a 3/16-inch thickness. The CXA series is a widely used quick-change tooling standard on lathes in that swing class. This holder is appropriate for both light finishing passes and moderate material-removal boring operations.
