The CXA-2 is suited for mid-size manual lathes with a 13 to 18 inch swing. It is a standard production and toolroom holder used in both job shop and maintenance machining environments. Typical applications include straight turning, facing operations, and boring on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The holder is compatible with CXA-series quick-change tool post systems and mounts without additional tooling modifications when the correct post series is in use.
Designed for use with CXA-series quick-change tool post systems on lathes with a swing range of 13 to 18 inches.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist. Before mounting or removing any tool holder, power down and lock out the lathe spindle drive. Secure the holder firmly in the quick-change post using the manufacturer-specified clamping hardware, and verify centerline height alignment before initiating a cut. Do not exceed the maximum cutting tool shank or boring bar size ratings for this holder.
