Installation is performed by a machinist or tool room technician. Before mounting or removing any tool holder, ensure the lathe spindle is fully stopped and all power is locked out per shop lockout/tagout procedures. Seat the holder firmly in the quick-change tool post and verify the locking mechanism is fully engaged before taking a cut. Check boring bar runout and centerline height against the workpiece centerline before beginning any operation.
