The ALLPOINTS O10-2054 is a fan cycle pressure control switch designed for use in refrigeration and air conditioning systems where condenser fan cycling is required. This single-pole single-throw (SPST) switch monitors refrigerant-side high-side pressure to start and stop the condenser fan motor, helping maintain proper head pressure. It operates across a pressure range of 100 to 400 PSIG with a differential of 40 to 150 PSI. Electrical ratings include a full load amperage of 24A at 120/240VAC and a locked rotor amperage of 144A at 120/240VAC. This control is a UL-listed style switch typically installed by a licensed HVAC or refrigeration technician.
This pressure control is suited for use in commercial refrigeration equipment and air conditioning condensing units where condenser fan cycling is required to manage head pressure under varying ambient conditions. The 36-inch capillary tube with flare nut connection allows for flexible field routing to the high-side service port. It is commonly used as a replacement for Ranco-style fan cycle controls in equipment requiring SPST switching logic at 120/240VAC.
Designed as a replacement for Ranco-style fan cycle pressure controls in residential and commercial refrigeration and air conditioning condensing units requiring SPST high-side pressure switching.
Installation should be performed by a certified HVAC or refrigeration technician in accordance with applicable local codes and ASHRAE guidelines. Recover system refrigerant and relieve system pressure before disconnecting or connecting the flare nut capillary fitting. De-energize all electrical circuits before wiring the switch terminals. Verify that the system operating pressure range is compatible with the control setpoints before returning the system to service.
