The ALLIED MACHINE AND ENGINEERING TM75016CH is a solid carbide helical flute thread mill designed for cutting 3/4-16 UN threads in both internal and external applications. With 4 flutes and a TiAlN coating, it delivers efficient material removal and extended tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials. The 1/2-inch shank diameter provides rigid toolholder engagement, and the 1.25-inch length of cut accommodates full-depth thread profiles in a single helical pass. Coolant-through capability supports chip evacuation and heat management during high-feed operations. This tool is intended for use by machinists and CNC programmers working in precision threading applications.
This thread mill is suited for job shop, production machining, and maintenance environments where a single tool must produce both internal and external 3/4-16 UN threads. Its helical flute geometry and right-hand flute direction make it compatible with standard CNC machining centers running helical interpolation cycles. The 3.5-inch overall length provides adequate reach for most fixture and workholding configurations without requiring extended-reach tooling. Applications include threading bores, bosses, and fittings in steel, cast iron, aluminum, and similar materials.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers capable of helical interpolation, accepting a 1/2-inch straight shank via standard ER, hydraulic, or shrink-fit toolholders for production of 3/4-16 UN internal and external threads.
Installation and operation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC programmer familiar with helical interpolation thread milling cycles. Ensure the toolholder is clean and properly torqued before use, and verify spindle runout is within acceptable limits to protect thread quality and tool life. Always confirm the CNC program thread pitch and interpolation direction match the tool specifications before cutting. Coolant supply should be enabled and verified prior to initiating the threading cycle.
