The ALLIED MACHINE AND ENGINEERING TM43714CH is a solid carbide helical flute thread mill designed for cutting 7/16-14 UN threads in both internal and external applications. With a 4-flute right-hand configuration and TiAlN coating, it delivers heat resistance and extended tool life in demanding CNC milling operations. The cutting diameter measures 0.305 inches, the shank diameter is 0.312 inches, and the overall length is 3 inches. Coolant-through capability supports chip evacuation and thermal management during deep or high-speed threading passes. Machinists and toolroom operators use this mill in production and job-shop environments where a single tool must handle multiple thread forms.
This thread mill is suited for machining centers performing UN-standard thread milling on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. The helical flute geometry and TiAlN finish make it particularly effective in harder alloys and stainless steels where conventional tap life falls short. Its 0.75-inch length of cut accommodates standard thread depths for 7/16-14 fastener applications in aerospace, automotive, and general manufacturing. The tool is fed in a helical interpolation path programmed to the target thread pitch, giving the operator control over fit class and thread form.
Designed for use on CNC machining centers capable of helical interpolation programmed to UN thread standards. Compatible with 0.312-inch shank tool holders including ER collet chucks and shrink-fit holders sized for that shank diameter.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with CNC thread milling cycles. Verify spindle and collet runout before use, as excessive runout will degrade thread quality and shorten tool life. Program the helical interpolation path to match the 14 TPI pitch and confirm climb versus conventional milling direction suits the workpiece material. Ensure coolant-through supply is active before initiating the cut.
