The ALLIED MACHINE AND ENGINEERING TM10150 is a solid carbide helical flute thread mill designed for cutting both internal and external metric threads in a single operation. It runs a 0.300-inch cutting diameter on a 0.312-inch shank, with a 0.312-inch length of cut and a 3.000-inch overall length. A TiAlN coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life when machining ferrous and hardened materials. With 4 right-hand flutes, this mill delivers clean thread geometry in M10 x 1.50 metric pitch applications. Machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, aerospace, and general manufacturing rely on this tool for precise thread milling with a single CNC interpolation pass.
This thread mill is suited for machining centers and CNC mills capable of helical interpolation. Its M10 x 1.50 metric thread standard makes it applicable for through-hole and blind-hole threading operations in steel, stainless, and similar materials. The minimum nominal thread diameter this tool addresses is 0.394 inches (10.00 mm). It handles both internal and external thread profiles, reducing the need to stock separate taps or dies for the same thread size. This makes it a compact solution for low-clearance setups and multi-thread-size programs.
Designed for use on CNC machining centers capable of helical interpolation with a standard 0.312-inch shank collet or holder. Suited for M10 x 1.50 metric thread applications in internal and external configurations.
Install in a matching 0.312-inch ER collet or end mill holder and confirm runout before cutting. Program the CNC controller for helical interpolation at the correct pitch of 1.50 mm. Verify workpiece fixturing and spindle speed parameters against the material being threaded before the first pass. Do not use this tool as a standard end mill for profiling or slotting operations.
