The ALLIED MACHINE AND ENGINEERING 7C232P-0112 is a solid carbide spade drill insert engineered for high-performance hole-making in demanding materials. Sized at 1-3/8 inches in diameter with a 140-degree point angle, this insert fits Seat Size 32 holders in the GEN3SYS XT series. The AM300 PVD coating improves wear resistance and edge retention during extended production runs. Machining professionals and tooling specialists install this insert in CNC drilling operations where tool life and hole quality are critical. At 0.029 pounds, the insert is lightweight and straightforward to index in compatible toolholders.
This insert is designed for drilling stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and super-alloys including titanium - material groups M, K, N, and S. The GEN3SYS XT platform is a modular spade drilling system suited to production machining environments where repeatability and insert interchangeability reduce downtime. The 7C232P-0112 is appropriate for horizontal and vertical machining centers wherever a Seat Size 32 spade drill body is in use. Its C2 (K20) carbide grade makes it a suitable choice for interrupted cuts and hard-material applications.
Designed for use with GEN3SYS XT series Seat Size 32 spade drill holders. Compatible primary workpiece materials include stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and super-alloys and titanium (material codes M, K, N, S).
Indexing and installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician with the machine powered down and spindle locked. Use the correct torque wrench and insert screw specified for the GEN3SYS XT Seat Size 32 holder - do not overtighten by feel alone. Inspect the insert pocket for chips, debris, or wear before seating the new insert. Follow the machine tool manufacturer and toolholder manufacturer guidelines for recommended speeds and feeds for the target workpiece material.
