The ALLIED MACHINE AND ENGINEERING 4C20P-0019 is a solid carbide spade drill insert designed for high-performance drilling applications across a range of demanding workpiece materials. Built to GEN2 T-A series specifications, this insert features a 132-degree point angle and a 19/32-inch diameter, making it well suited for precision hole-making in stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and super-alloys including titanium. The AM300 PVD coating provides enhanced wear resistance and thermal stability, extending tool life in difficult cutting conditions. Licensed machinists and tooling technicians install this insert as a replaceable cutting element in compatible T-A spade drill bodies.
This insert is used in industrial and production machining environments where spade drilling is required on materials that demand a tough, coated carbide edge. Typical applications include job shops, aerospace component manufacturing, and heavy equipment fabrication where cast iron, stainless steel, and titanium alloys are common workpiece materials. The GEN2 T-A series platform is a modular system in which this insert seats into a matching holder body at Seat Size 0. It is well suited for CNC machining centers and drill presses operating under controlled cutting conditions.
Designed for use with ALLIED MACHINE AND ENGINEERING GEN2 T-A series spade drill holder bodies at Seat Size 0. Compatible primary workpiece material codes include M (stainless steel), K (cast iron), N (non-ferrous metal), and S (super-alloys and titanium).
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians. Before inserting or removing the spade drill insert, ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and all power is isolated per your facility lockout/tagout procedures. Seat the insert securely into the holder body using the manufacturer-recommended torque tool; do not over-torque or use substitute fasteners. Inspect the seating surface and insert pocket for chips or damage before each installation to maintain concentricity and cutting accuracy.
