The ALLIED MACHINE AND ENGINEERING 4C11P-.734 is a solid carbide spade drill insert designed for high-performance drilling in steel and hard materials. It features a 132-degree point angle and carries the AM300 PVD coating for extended tool life and heat resistance. Part of the GEN2 T-A series, this insert is engineered for precision material removal in demanding machining environments. It is installed by machinists and tool-room technicians operating CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual lathes where repeatable hole quality and insert durability are required.
This insert is suited for production drilling applications in steel and hard workpiece materials where consistent performance is required. The GEN2 T-A series platform is a common choice in metalworking shops, job shops, and production facilities. The 47/64 inch diameter and Seat Size 1 designation align it with standard toolholder bodies in the T-A spade drill system. Minimum order quantity is 2 units; each package contains 1 insert.
Designed for use with GEN2 T-A series Seat Size 1 spade drill toolholders. Primary workpiece material compatibility includes steel and hard materials (Material Grade C1, Workpiece Material Codes P and H).
Installation of spade drill inserts should be performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or removing the insert. Use the appropriate torx or hex key as specified by the toolholder manufacturer to secure the insert to the recommended clamping torque for the holder body. Inspect the insert seat for chips or debris before installation to ensure proper seating and runout.
