The TiN coating improves surface hardness and wear resistance, extending tool life in abrasive cutting conditions. This insert seats into a Seat Size 3 holder and is intended for use in production drilling environments where insert replacement is routine. Installation Notes

Insert replacement should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician with the spindle powered down and the machine fully locked out per facility lockout/tagout procedures. Seat and insert mating surfaces should be clean and free of chips before seating the insert. Use the appropriate torque wrench and insert screw specified by the holder manufacturer — do not overtighten, as this can damage the seating pocket. Inspect the holder seat for wear or damage each time the insert is changed.
