The ALLIED MACHINE AND ENGINEERING 451H-.765 is a cobalt spade drill insert designed for high-performance hole-making in demanding industrial applications. With a 49/64-inch diameter and a 132-degree point angle, this insert delivers accurate entry geometry and clean chip evacuation on a wide range of workpiece materials. It carries an AM200 PVD coating that improves wear resistance and extends tool life under aggressive cutting conditions. Seat Size 1 locates the insert precisely in compatible GEN2 T-A spade drill holders. Licensed machinists and toolroom professionals are the primary installers of this insert type.
This insert is engineered for the GEN2 T-A series platform, a modular spade drilling system used in CNC machining centers, lathes, and dedicated drilling machines across production and job-shop environments. The AM200 PVD coating and cobalt substrate make it well-suited for drilling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, super-alloys, titanium, and hard materials — workpiece material codes P, M, K, S, and H. It is sold individually with a minimum order quantity of one piece.
Designed for use with Seat Size 1 GEN2 T-A series spade drill holders. Suitable for workpiece materials classified as P (steel), M (stainless steel), K (cast iron), S (super-alloys and titanium), and H (hard materials).
Install and service this insert with the machine powered off and the spindle fully locked out per your facility lockout/tagout procedure. Seat the insert firmly in the holder pocket and torque the clamping screw using the correct insert key — never use oversized or improvised tools that can damage the seating surfaces. Inspect the holder pocket for chips or wear before installing a new insert to ensure proper seating and runout. Follow the tool manufacturer and machine operator guidelines for speeds and feeds specific to the workpiece material being drilled.
