The ALLIED MACHINE AND ENGINEERING 451H-0026 is a spade drill insert designed for high-performance hole-making in demanding industrial machining applications. It measures 13/16 inch in diameter with a 132-degree point angle and is manufactured from cobalt for elevated heat and wear resistance. The insert carries an AM200 PVD coating that extends tool life across a wide range of workpiece materials. At 0.1563 inches thick and weighing approximately 0.1 pounds, it fits Seat Size 1 holders in the GEN2 T-A spade drill system. This insert is selected and installed by machinists and toolroom professionals working with CNC machining centers, lathes, and drill presses.
The 451H-0026 is suited for drilling operations in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, super-alloys, titanium, and hard materials. It performs across ISO material classifications P, M, K, S, and H, making it a versatile choice for job shops and production environments that run mixed-material programs. The GEN2 T-A platform is commonly used where indexable spade tooling replaces brazed drills or solid carbide drills to reduce per-hole cost and simplify regrind logistics.
Designed for use with Seat Size 1 holders in the Allied Machine and Engineering GEN2 T-A spade drill system. Compatible workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, super-alloys, titanium, and hard materials (ISO classifications P, M, K, S, and H).
Installation of spade drill inserts is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before handling or indexing the insert. Seat the insert fully into the holder pocket and verify the clamping screw is torqued according to the holder manufacturer specifications before cutting. Inspect the holder seat for chips or debris prior to seating a new insert to prevent premature edge failure.
