The ALLIED MACHINE AND ENGINEERING 250Y0H-075F is an indexable spade drill designed for precision hole-making in a wide range of workpiece materials. Built on the T-A Y Series platform, it accepts replaceable spade blade inserts, reducing tooling costs while maintaining consistent bore geometry. The drill features a helical flute configuration and through-coolant capability via a 1/8 inch NPT axial concentric coolant entry, supporting chip evacuation and heat management at depth. With a maximum drilling depth of 4-3/8 inches and an overall length of 7-9/16 inches, this tool is suited for extended-reach applications in production and job-shop environments. Tool material is steel throughout the body.
This drill is rated for general-purpose performance across universal workpiece materials, including material groups H, K, M, N, P, and S - covering steels, stainless, cast iron, non-ferrous alloys, high-temp alloys, and plastics. The flatted cylindrical shank measures 3/4 inch in diameter and is sized for standard toolholders used on CNC machining centers, lathes with live tooling, and dedicated drill presses. The extended-length body makes it appropriate for applications requiring reach beyond standard drill depth, such as deep-feature bores in structural components or manifold bodies.
Designed for use in the T-A Y Series indexable spade drill system. Compatible with workpiece material groups H, K, M, N, P, and S as specified by the manufacturer. Accepts T-A Y Series spade blade inserts sized for the 3/8 to 27/64 inch diameter range.
Installation and operation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle and toolholder are fully powered down and locked out before mounting or removing the drill body. Verify toolholder bore size and retention style are compatible with the 3/4 inch flatted cylindrical shank before clamping. When activating through-coolant, confirm coolant system pressure and flow rate are within the machine and insert manufacturer specifications before initiating a cut.
