The ALLIED MACHINE AND ENGINEERING 25020H-125F is an indexable spade drill body engineered for deep-hole drilling in a wide range of workpiece materials. Designed for the T-A 2 series system, it accepts interchangeable spade drill inserts and features helical fluting for efficient chip evacuation in extended-reach applications. The drill body spans a drilling diameter range of 31/32 inches to 1-3/8 inches with a maximum drill depth of 11-3/8 inches. Through-coolant delivery via a 1/4 inches NPT axial concentric entry port keeps the cutting zone cool and aids chip flushing during deep-hole operations. A 1-1/4 inches flatted cylindrical shank ensures positive drive and secure toolholder retention. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC setup technicians in production shop environments.
The 25020H-125F is suited for general-purpose drilling in universal workpiece material categories including steel, cast iron, nonferrous alloys, superalloys, and non-metallic materials as indicated by material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. Its extended-length body makes it particularly useful for applications requiring reach beyond standard drill depths, such as deep bores in structural components, manifolds, and heavy fabrications. The helical flute geometry promotes smooth chip flow out of the hole, reducing the risk of chip packing in long-bore drilling scenarios.
Designed for use with the Allied Machine T-A 2 series spade drill insert system, compatible with workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S covering steel, cast iron, nonferrous, superalloy, and non-metallic applications.
Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC technician. Ensure the machine spindle and toolholder are fully powered down and locked out before mounting or removing the drill body. Verify the flatted shank is properly seated and clamped in the toolholder to the toolholder manufacturer's specified retention method before operation. Connect through-coolant supply to the 1/4 inches NPT port using appropriate fittings and confirm coolant flow before beginning a drilling cycle.
