Product Description

The ALLIED MACHINE AND ENGINEERING 25010S-003I is an indexable spade drill body designed for deep-hole drilling operations in metalworking and machining environments. It accepts interchangeable spade drill inserts and covers a diameter range of 45/64 inches to 15/16 inches with a maximum drill depth of 10-3/4 inches. The straight flute design and 3MT taper shank provide rigid, concentric mounting in compatible spindles. Through-coolant capability is built in, supporting chip evacuation and tool life in demanding cuts. This tool body is part of the T-A 1 series from Allied Machine and Engineering and is intended for use by machinists and CNC operators in production and job-shop settings.

This drill body is suited for general-purpose drilling in a wide range of workpiece materials including steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and high-temperature alloys, as indicated by the universal primary workpiece material designation covering material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. The extended-length body and straight flute make it appropriate for applications requiring deeper hole penetration beyond standard drill reach. It mounts directly to 3MT taper spindles or adapters and is compatible with the 2T-3SR rotary coolant adapter for pressurized through-coolant delivery.

Key Features

  • Diameter range of 45/64 inches to 15/16 inches accommodates a variety of insert sizes within the T-A 1 series
  • Extended-length body with 10-3/4 inch flute length supports deep-hole applications
  • 3MT taper shank provides positive drive and accurate seating in taper-shank spindles and holders
  • Through-coolant design with 1/8 inch NPT coolant hole threads and 2-radial entry style aids chip flushing and heat management
  • Straight flute geometry simplifies regrinding and insert indexing
  • Compatible with 2T-3SR rotary coolant adapter for pressurized coolant systems

Compatibility

Designed for use with T-A 1 series spade drill inserts from Allied Machine and Engineering. Compatible with 3MT taper spindles and holders. Accepts rotary coolant adapter model 2T-3SR for through-coolant setups.

Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully powered down and locked out before mounting or removing the drill body. Seat the 3MT taper shank fully and verify runout before beginning a cut. When using through-coolant, confirm coolant line connections are secure and that the system pressure is appropriate for the application before cycling the machine.
