The ALLIED MACHINE AND ENGINEERING 25000S-075F is an indexable spade drill body engineered for general-purpose hole-making across a wide range of workpiece materials. Part of the T-A 0 series, it accepts interchangeable spade drill inserts to cut diameters from 33/64 inches to 11/16 inches. The flatted shank measures 3/4 inches in diameter and is sized for standard drill chucks and holders. Coolant is delivered axially through a concentric entry port with a 1/8-inch coolant hole thread size, keeping the cutting zone clear and extending insert life. Overall length is 7.656 inches with a straight flute configuration along a 4-1/2-inch flute length. Licensed machinists and tool-and-die technicians are the primary installers of this tooling.
The 25000S-075F is suited for production drilling operations in machining centers, CNC lathes with live tooling, and drill presses where indexable insert tooling is preferred over solid carbide or HSS drills. Its universal primary workpiece material rating spans steel, cast iron, aluminum, non-ferrous alloys, hardened materials, and heat-resistant superalloys, reflecting the broad compatibility codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. The extended-length body provides additional reach for deeper hole applications where a standard-length holder would fall short.

Installation and tool changes should be performed by qualified machinists following established shop safety procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the machine is placed in a locked-out, tagged-out state before changing inserts or mounting the drill body in its holder. Verify holder-to-shank fit and confirm coolant-through connections are clear before initiating a cut. Follow the machine tool manufacturer torque specifications for set screws securing the flatted shank.
