The ALLIED MACHINE AND ENGINEERING 22025S-125F is an indexable spade drill body from the T-A 2.5 Series, designed for general-purpose drilling in a wide range of workpiece materials. It accepts interchangeable spade drill inserts and delivers drill diameters from 1-3/16 inches to 1-3/8 inches with a maximum drill depth of 3-3/8 inches. The 1-1/4 inch flatted cylindrical shank seats securely in machine tool holders, and the axial concentric through-coolant entry keeps the cutting zone clear and extends insert life. This tool is intended for use by machinists and tool-and-die professionals in CNC machining centers and production drilling applications.
The 22025S-125F is well suited for high-volume production environments where repeatable hole quality across multiple workpiece materials is required. Its short-length classification and straight flute geometry make it appropriate for rigid setups in vertical and horizontal machining centers. The T-A 2.5 Series designation indicates compatibility with Allied Machine's T-A insert system for that drill body series. Universal primary workpiece material classification covers steel, cast iron, aluminum, non-ferrous alloys, high-temp alloys, and similar materials within the appropriate insert selection.
Designed for use with Allied Machine and Engineering T-A 2.5 Series indexable spade drill inserts. The universal workpiece material classification covers material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. Consult the manufacturer insert selection guide to match the correct insert grade and geometry to the specific workpiece material and cutting conditions.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Secure the flatted shank in an appropriate drill holder or tooling block and verify proper torque on all set screws before running. Confirm through-coolant supply is connected and pressurized before initiating a cut. Always index or replace the spade insert before signs of excessive wear to prevent workpiece damage and unplanned tool failure.
