The ALLIED MACHINE AND ENGINEERING 10264-0324 is a spade drill insert engineered for large-diameter hole making in metalworking and machining operations. Manufactured from CPM-M4 powdered metal, this insert delivers consistent cutting performance across a range of workpiece materials. The 130-degree point angle suits general-purpose drilling applications where a balance of penetration force and hole entry geometry is required. The uncoated finish makes it suitable for use with cutting fluids and in applications where coating compatibility is a concern. Licensed machinists and toolroom professionals install this insert into compatible spade drill holder bodies as a replaceable cutting element.
This insert is designed for use in steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous metals, covering ISO material classifications P, N, and K. It is suited for production drilling in machine shops, heavy fabrication environments, and toolroom operations where large-diameter holes are required. The 3-3/4 inch diameter and Seat Size F designation make this insert a direct-fit replacement for F-series spade drill holder bodies. Typical applications include structural steel drilling, cast iron component boring, and general metalworking production runs where insert interchangeability and repeatability are priorities.
Designed for use with F-series spade drill holder bodies. Compatible with primary workpiece materials including steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous metals (ISO classifications P, N, and K).
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. The machine spindle must be fully stopped and the tool holder removed from the spindle before seating or replacing the insert. Torque the insert mounting screw using the appropriate holder manufacturer tooling to ensure proper seating against the holder pocket. Inspect the holder seat for chips or damage before installing a new insert, as debris in the seat can affect insert position and hole accuracy.
