The ALLIED AIR 19l22 is a non-linear air temperature sensor designed for duct-mounted temperature measurement in HVAC systems. The sensor features a 6-inch probe that inserts directly into a duct section and outputs a resistance signal across a 20 kOhm range, allowing a compatible controller or thermostat to monitor supply or return air temperature. Non-linear NTC-style sensors of this type are common in residential and light commercial forced-air systems where accurate air temperature feedback is required for proper equipment staging and control logic. Installation is typically performed by a licensed HVAC technician.
This sensor is suited for duct temperature sensing applications in forced-air heating and cooling systems. The 6-inch probe length is appropriate for standard residential and light commercial duct sizes, providing reliable insertion depth for accurate air-stream readings. It is used wherever a controller requires a duct-mounted input signal to regulate equipment operation based on measured air temperature.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement duct temperature sensor for compatible ALLIED AIR Enterprises HVAC control systems requiring a non-linear 20 kOhm duct probe input.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power to the air handler or furnace before removing or installing the sensor. The probe is inserted through a field-drilled or existing port in the duct wall and secured per manufacturer instructions. Verify controller compatibility and sensor wiring connections before restoring power.
