The ALLEN COMPANY 545 is a black nylon archery string loop designed to attach a mechanical release aid to a bowstring. Made from wear-resistant nylon cord, each loop is rated to 225 LB test strength. The cord forms a secure loop at the nocking point, reducing direct contact between the release jaws and the bowstring. This design minimizes string wear and eliminates string torque at the point of release, improving consistency shot to shot. Each package contains 3 loops. Installation requires no special tools and is performed by archers or archery technicians during bow setup or string maintenance.
String loops are a standard component on compound bows set up for release-aid shooting. They are used in both recreational and competitive archery to protect the bowstring serving and reduce torque introduced by a wrist-strap or handheld release. The 545 is suited for any compound bow where the archer uses a mechanical release and wants to extend bowstring life between re-servings.
Designed as a standard replacement string loop for compound bows configured for mechanical release-aid shooting.
String loops are typically installed by an archer or archery pro-shop technician. Before installing, unload the bow by reducing draw weight if possible and ensure the bow is not at full draw. The loop is tied directly to the bowstring at the nocking point using a secure knot — follow the manufacturer or pro-shop recommended tie method for your specific release style. Inspect the loop periodically and replace if fraying or deformation is observed.
