The ALLEGRO 9518-03 is a venturi-style pneumatic blower built for demanding industrial and confined-space ventilation work. Powered entirely by compressed air through a 1/2 inch NPT inlet, it produces airflow without motors, switches, or electrical connections, making it rated for hazardous locations. The galvanized steel horn and steel housing measure 30.5 inches in overall length, with a 7.31 inch base diameter and a 7 inch face diameter. At 80 psig inlet pressure, air consumption is 40 CFM; at 60 psig, it draws 30 CFM. Maximum inlet pressure is 100 psig. Licensed contractors and industrial safety personnel install this unit where spark-free, explosion-safe ventilation is required.
The 9518-03 is designed for active air movement in industrial environments where electrical equipment is prohibited or impractical. Typical applications include refineries, utility and power plants, shipyards, paper and pulp plants, the marine and steel industry, and manhole operations. Its venturi design entrains surrounding air to multiply the effective airflow beyond the compressed air volume alone, making it well suited for purging confined spaces, ventilating tanks, and clearing fumes in restricted areas prior to or during hot work and entry operations.
Designed for use in industrial ventilation systems where a compressed air supply at up to 100 psig is available. Compatible with standard 1/2 inch NPT compressed air fittings and lines. Suitable for refineries, utility and power plants, shipyards, paper and pulp plants, the marine and steel industry, and manhole operations per manufacturer application data.
Installation and deployment should be performed by qualified industrial safety or mechanical personnel familiar with confined space entry regulations and compressed air systems. Before connecting, verify that the supply line pressure does not exceed the 100 psig maximum inlet rating. Ensure all compressed air supply lines are depressurized before making or breaking NPT connections. In hazardous-location applications, follow applicable OSHA confined space entry standards and any site-specific hot work or atmospheric testing requirements before deploying the blower.
