The ALL-SOURCE 020037 is a two-piece PTFE packing string kit used for making gaskets and packing valves in a wide range of piping and fluid-handling applications. The kit includes one string at 3/32 inches by 24 inches and one string at 5/32 inches by 18 inches, giving technicians two common sizing options in a single package. Made from PTFE, the material is nontoxic and rated for temperatures from -400 degrees F to +500 degrees F. The construction resists vibration and high-pressure conditions, making it a reliable choice for both maintenance and new installation work across plumbing, HVAC, and industrial service trades.
This packing string kit is suited for use on plastic, stainless steel, aluminum, ceramic, synthetic rubber, monel, and carbon pipe. It is compatible with a broad range of media including chemicals, corrosives, Freon 22, hydraulic fluids, and aromatic fuels. Plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians typically reach for this product when refurbishing valve stems, fabricating custom gaskets, or sealing fittings in demanding service environments where conventional thread tape is insufficient.
Designed for use on plastic, stainless steel, aluminum, ceramic, synthetic rubber, monel, and carbon pipe systems handling chemicals, corrosives, Freon 22, hydraulic fluids, and aromatic fuels.
Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers, pipefitters, or HVAC technicians. Before packing a valve or fabricating a gasket, shut off system pressure and depressurize the line fully. Cut the packing string to the required length and wrap or seat it evenly to ensure a uniform seal. Follow applicable codes such as the IPC or IFGC when servicing pressurized systems.
