The AIREX TA14141 is a 14 x 14 x 1 inch disposable fiberglass panel air filter designed for residential and light commercial HVAC applications. It uses Polystrand fiberglass media encapsulated in a polymer coating that produces a continuous-strand fiber measuring more than 3.5 microns in diameter, making the fibers non-respirable and safer than conventional loose-glass media. The media is loosely spun on the air-entering side and progressively woven tighter toward the air-exiting side, creating a heavy laminated backing. This graduated construction increases dust-holding capacity, reduces surface loading, and adds structural integrity to the filter without requiring a metal backing.
The TA14141 is rated MERV 4 to 5, making it suitable for standard residential forced-air systems and light commercial air conditioning units where basic particulate control is the primary requirement. The filter handles continuous operating temperatures up to 180 degrees F and intermittent peaks up to 200 degrees F, which covers the thermal range of most residential gas furnace and central air conditioning applications. The heavy-duty moisture-resistant white kraft board frame maintains its shape in both heating and cooling airstreams. Licensed HVAC technicians and experienced service professionals will find this filter a straightforward drop-in replacement during routine maintenance.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement panel filter for residential and light commercial air conditioning and forced-air heating systems requiring a 14 x 14 x 1 inch disposable fiberglass filter.
Installation is performed by licensed HVAC technicians or qualified service professionals. Power down or shut off the air handler and thermostat before replacing the filter. Confirm airflow direction arrows on the filter frame align with the system airflow direction before seating the filter in the rack. Dispose of the used filter in accordance with local waste handling requirements.
