The AIPHONE jm-4med-u is a video master station built around a 7-inch color touchscreen LCD display. It serves as the central communication hub in a JM-series intercom system, handling both handset (duplex) and hands-free VOX communication modes. The unit supports up to 4 door stations and 7 sub master stations simultaneously. Pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) and brightness controls give the installer and end user direct command over door station camera angle and lighting. This station is installed by low-voltage electricians and security technicians in residential and light commercial applications.

The jm-4med-u fits intercom systems where centralized visitor management is required. Every inside station in the network includes a door release button for controlled entry. Picture memory captures and stores up to 20 calls to internal memory and up to 1,000 calls to a removable SD or SDHC card, which is not included with the unit. The station connects to door stations via 18AWG 2-conductor cable and links to sub master stations over CAT-5e or CAT-6 cable, making it compatible with standard low-voltage structured wiring practices.
