The ACURITE 00256M is a multi-function handheld wind speed indicator that combines an anemometer, hygrometer, thermometer, and light meter in a single compact unit. It measures current wind speed, average wind speed, and peak wind speed, and includes a configurable wind speed alarm. In addition to airflow, it tracks ambient temperature, humidity, altitude, wind chill, and heat index. Readings update at a 1-second interval. The unit is suited for field technicians, HVAC commissioning work, and outdoor environmental monitoring. Auto power-off is included to conserve battery life.
The 00256M is well matched to HVAC service calls where airflow verification, temperature, and humidity readings are needed at a single location without carrying multiple instruments. It covers a minimum air velocity starting at 0.1 m/s (also displayed in mph, km/h, knots, or ft/min) and a process temperature range of -40 degrees F to 150 degrees F, making it practical for both cold-weather and warm-weather field conditions. Trade professionals including HVAC technicians and building commissioning technicians will find this instrument useful for both routine service and diagnostic work.
Designed as a general-purpose handheld multi-meter for field use in HVAC commissioning, environmental monitoring, and airflow verification applications.
No installation is required for this handheld instrument. HVAC technicians should allow the sensor to stabilize in ambient conditions before recording measurements. Keep the anemometer head clear of obstructions during airflow readings for accurate results. Handle the sensor impeller carefully to avoid damage during transport or storage.
