The ACIQ es-27z-m4c / aciq-12w-hh-md-3 is a 3-zone ductless mini split heat pump system rated at 27,000 BTU/h with a 25 SEER2 efficiency rating. It operates on 230 volts and uses R454B refrigerant, a lower-GWP alternative to R410A. The system consists of a multi-zone outdoor condenser paired with three wall-mount indoor air handlers, providing both heating and cooling from a single refrigerant circuit. Licensed HVAC technicians install and commission this type of system. The high SEER2 rating makes it well suited for projects where energy efficiency compliance is a priority.
This system is designed for residential and light-commercial applications requiring independent climate control in up to three separate zones. Typical installations include multi-room residential retrofits, additions, server rooms, or small commercial spaces where ducted systems are impractical. Each wall-mount indoor unit operates as an individual zone, allowing occupants to set different temperatures in different rooms. The 27,000 BTU/h total capacity is distributed across the three connected air handlers.
Designed as an OEM-matched 3-zone mini split system with wall-mount indoor units. Consult ACIQ documentation to confirm compatibility with any additional or replacement indoor air handler models before installation.
Installation must be performed by an EPA 608-certified HVAC technician due to refrigerant handling requirements. Shut off all power at the disconnect before making any electrical or refrigerant connections. R454B is an A2L mildly flammable refrigerant — follow applicable local codes and manufacturer guidelines regarding handling, ventilation, and leak detection during installation. Line set sizing, electrical disconnect sizing, and breaker selection should conform to NEC requirements and the manufacturer installation manual.
