The ACCUPRO SAT290750-12 is a solid carbide single point threading tool designed for internal thread cutting on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. It produces threads with a 29-degree profile angle at 12 threads per inch (TPI), with a minimum threading diameter of 0.23 inches and a cutting depth of 0.75 inches. The bright, uncoated carbide construction delivers sharp, consistent edge geometry suited to ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Machinists and tool-and-die technicians use this tool where precise thread form and tight tolerances are required on internal bores.
This threading insert tool is suited to internal threading operations in production and job-shop environments. The 5/16-inch shank diameter and 2.5-inch overall length make it compatible with standard boring bar setups on compact and mid-size turning equipment. The 0.07-inch projection from edge and 0.033-inch flat width support controlled chip formation in confined bore geometries. It is typically installed by machinists performing single-point threading passes on lathes operating at programmed feed rates matched to the 12 TPI pitch.
Designed for use in standard 5/16-inch shank tool holders and boring bar setups on CNC and manual lathes capable of single-point threading operations at 12 TPI.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with single-point threading operations. Ensure the lathe spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before mounting or removing the tool. Verify shank seating and tool holder clamping torque per machine tool builder specifications before running. Do not exceed the rated cutting depth of 0.75 inches per pass.
