The ACCUPRO EM21004801 is a single-end ball end mill engineered for machining complex contoured surfaces, 3D profiles, and radius features in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It is constructed from micrograin solid carbide for superior rigidity, edge retention, and thermal resistance under demanding cutting conditions. The tool measures 0.75 inches in diameter with a matching 0.75-inch shank diameter and a 6.25-inch overall length. A TiAlN coating provides oxidation resistance and extended tool life at elevated temperatures. The 4-flute, 30-degree right-hand spiral geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. Licensed machinists and CNC tool-and-die professionals are the primary installers and operators of this tool.
The EM21004801 is suited for mold and die work, aerospace component machining, and general-purpose profiling operations on vertical and horizontal machining centers. Its extended reach configuration, with a reach length of 2.25 inches and a length of cut of 0.75 inches, makes it appropriate for applications requiring clearance around workpiece features or fixture components. The right-hand cutting direction is compatible with standard spindle rotation on most CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
Designed for use in standard end mill holders, shrink-fit chucks, and collet chucks accepting a 0.75-inch shank diameter on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with CNC or manual milling equipment. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before inserting or removing the tool from its holder. Verify holder bore diameter and runout tolerance before seating the shank, as excessive runout will degrade surface finish and accelerate tool wear. Follow machine tool manufacturer torque specifications for the chosen toolholding system.
