The ACCUPRO EM15301601 is a 4-flute solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. Built from ultra micrograin carbide stock, it delivers the hardness and edge retention needed for cutting ferrous and non-ferrous materials at higher feed rates. The TiAlN coating provides thermal resistance and reduces friction at the cutting edge during dry or semi-dry machining. With a 0.25 inch cutting diameter, a 1 inch length of cut, and a 30-degree helix angle, this tool suits slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling operations where accuracy and tool life are the priority.
This end mill fits standard CNC machining centers, vertical mills, and knee mills equipped with a 0.25 inch collet or ER-style toolholder. The right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute configuration is the standard setup for most production milling environments. Centercutting geometry allows the tool to plunge directly into the workpiece, reducing the need for pre-drilled entry holes. At 2.75 inches overall length with a 0.25 inch shank, it is sized for general-purpose work in tight setups without excessive overhang.
Designed for use in machining centers and manual mills accepting a 0.25 inch straight shank via collet chuck or ER toolholder. Suitable for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and similar materials where TiAlN-coated carbide tooling is specified.
Installation requires a calibrated collet or toolholder rated for 0.25 inch shank diameter — confirm runout before beginning a cut. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked state before inserting or removing the tool. Do not exceed the manufacturer-recommended depth of cut or feed rate for the workpiece material and machine rigidity. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping or wear before each use; carbide end mills are brittle and should not be dropped or clamped with excessive force.
