The ACCUPRO ED99921230 is a single-end square end mill designed for general-purpose and high-performance milling operations in metal and ferrous materials. It features a 1-inch mill diameter, a 2-inch length of cut, and a 1-inch shank diameter, with an overall length of 4.5 inches. The tool is manufactured from powdered metal and finished with a titanium carbonitride (TiCN) coating, which increases surface hardness and wear resistance compared to uncoated tooling. Three spiral flutes with a 42-degree helix angle support chip evacuation and reduce cutting forces. This end mill is centercutting, allowing plunge entry. It is installed by machinists and tool-and-die professionals in CNC machining centers and manual mills.
This end mill is suited for side milling, slotting, and profiling operations in steel, cast iron, and similar materials. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration matches standard spindle rotation on most vertical machining centers. The 42-degree helix angle is well-suited for smooth finishes on medium-to-hard materials. The TiCN coating provides heat and abrasion resistance appropriate for interrupted cuts and higher feed rates. Applications range from production milling in job shops to toolroom work requiring tight dimensional tolerances.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit cutting tool for standard 1-inch straight-shank toolholders used in vertical machining centers and manual knee mills with compatible collet or end mill holder systems.
This end mill is installed by machinists using a standard end mill holder, collet chuck, or shrink-fit toolholder rated for 1-inch shank diameter. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe lockout state before changing tooling. Verify toolholder runout with a dial indicator after installation, as excessive runout will reduce tool life and surface finish quality. Follow the machine manufacturer and tooling manufacturer guidelines for speed and feed parameters appropriate to the workpiece material.
