The ACCUPRO ED99921207 is a single-end square end mill designed for milling, slotting, and contouring operations on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built from powdered metal with a TiCN (titanium carbonitride) finish, this tool offers improved wear resistance and heat tolerance compared to standard high-speed steel. The 3-flute geometry at a 42-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. With a 0.5 inch cutting diameter and 1.25 inch length of cut, it handles both shallow and moderate-depth passes. The right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute configuration is standard for conventional CNC milling setups. Centercutting capability allows direct plunge entry without a pilot hole.
This end mill suits general-purpose machining in job shop, tool room, and production environments. It is commonly run in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills on steels, alloy steels, stainless, and similar materials where a TiCN coating provides coating life advantages. The 0.5 inch shank diameter fits standard ER and end mill holders, and the 3.25 inch overall length keeps the tool rigid in typical short-reach applications. One tool per package.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling selection for 0.5 inch end mill holders, ER32 collet chucks, and similar workholding systems used in CNC machining centers and conventional knee mills requiring a 0.5 inch shank.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer torque specifications for the collet or end mill holder in use. Ensure the spindle is fully de-energized and locked out before changing tooling. Verify runout with a dial indicator after seating the shank to confirm concentricity before cutting. Follow shop-specific speeds and feeds charts for powdered metal TiCN-coated tooling on the workpiece material being machined.
