The ACCUPRO ED99921200 is a single-end square end mill designed for metal cutting operations in milling machines and machining centers. Built from powdered metal and finished with a titanium carbonitride (TiCN) coating, it delivers improved wear resistance and tool life over standard high-speed steel tooling. The cutter features a 3/8 inch diameter, a 1-1/2 inch length of cut, and a 42-degree spiral helix angle. Three flutes provide a balance of chip evacuation and surface finish. This end mill is centercutting, allowing it to plunge directly into material. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops and production environments are the primary users.
This end mill suits ferrous and non-ferrous metal milling applications where a 3/8 inch tool diameter is required. The 3/8 inch shank fits standard ER collets, end mill holders, and shrink-fit tooling commonly found in vertical and horizontal machining centers. The 3-1/4 inch overall length provides reach for standard workholding setups. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation make it compatible with conventional spindle rotation. The TiCN coating is well suited for cutting steels, alloy steels, and stainless steel at moderate to high surface speeds.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard selection for any machine tool spindle accepting a 3/8 inch straight shank end mill, including ER collet chucks, set-screw holders, and shrink-fit holders used in vertical machining centers and manual knee mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a locked-out, de-energized state. Ensure the shank is clean and fully seated in the holder to the minimum recommended grip depth before torquing the retention mechanism. Verify runout with a dial test indicator before starting a production cut. Consult the machine tool manufacturer's guidelines and applicable shop safety standards when setting speeds and feeds.
