The ACCUPRO ECIL121000MSC is a taper drill chuck arbor designed to connect a Jacobs Taper 1 (JT1) drill chuck to a straight-shank spindle or tool holder. The arbor features a 0.75-inch straight shank diameter and a shank length of 2.5 inches, providing a rigid, concentric interface between the chuck and the machine spindle. Weighing 0.18 pounds, this compact adapter is suited for precision drilling setups where a secure, repeatable chuck mount is required. Machinists and tool-room technicians rely on this type of arbor to mount and swap drill chucks quickly without sacrificing runout performance.
This arbor is used in drilling and light milling applications on bench drill presses, radial arm drills, and similar machine tools that accept a straight-shank tool holder. It is appropriate for both production shop and maintenance environments where JT1-mount drill chucks are in regular use. The straight shank design allows direct clamping in a standard collet, end-mill holder, or drill-press chuck of the appropriate bore size.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or upgrade arbor for drill chucks with a JT1 Jacobs Taper mount bore, used on drill presses and machine tools that accept a straight-shank tool holder of the appropriate diameter.
Installation is performed by machinists or tool-room technicians. Power down and de-energize the machine before mounting or removing any chuck arbor. Press or drive the arbor into the chuck taper with a dedicated arbor press rather than striking the chuck body directly to avoid damage to the taper seat. Verify shank clamp force with the machine manufacturer's specifications before resuming operation.
