The ACCUPRO CY01009000MSC is a keyed drill chuck designed for threaded-mount drilling applications in both shop and field settings. It accepts bit shanks from 1/32 inch (0.0394 inches decimal) up to 3/8 inch (0.375 inches decimal), covering the most common twist drill and accessory sizes used in metalworking, woodworking, and general fabrication. The chuck mounts via a 3/8-24 threaded arbor interface, uses a K34 key for tightening and releasing, and features a plain bearing design with a steel chuck body. The sleeve diameter measures 37 millimeters (1.457 inches) and closed length is approximately 60 millimeters (2.36 inches). It is typically installed by machinists, maintenance technicians, and tradespeople working with drill presses, lathes, or portable drilling equipment.
This chuck is suited for light-duty to medium-duty drilling on drill press spindles, lathe tailstocks, and similar threaded-arbor toolholding setups. The 3/8-24 threaded mount is a common standard found on benchtop drill presses and portable drilling attachments used in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance trades. Its compact sleeve profile and keyed design provide reliable gripping force and repeatable bit seating across a range of drill diameters within its capacity range.
Designed as a replacement or spare keyed drill chuck for drill presses, lathe tailstocks, and other toolholding equipment with a standard 3/8-24 threaded spindle mount.
Installation is performed by a machinist or qualified maintenance technician. Power down and lock out the drill press or lathe before removing or installing the chuck. Thread the chuck onto the 3/8-24 spindle by hand until seated, then tighten per the equipment manufacturer's procedure — do not use the chuck key to drive installation. Confirm bit seating and chuck runout before resuming drilling operations.
