The ACCUPRO C911-43720 is a helical flute thread mill designed for cutting internal UNF threads in machining applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it delivers the rigidity and edge retention needed for consistent thread geometry in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The tool features a 7/16-20 thread profile with 20 teeth per inch (TPI), a 0.345-inch cutting diameter, and a 3/4-inch length of cut (LOC). A TiAlN coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life in demanding cutting conditions. The 3/8-inch shank diameter suits standard milling chuck and collet systems. This tool is intended for machinists, toolroom technicians, and CNC operators working in production or job-shop environments.
This thread mill is suited for internal UNF thread milling operations on machining centers and CNC mills. The helical flute geometry promotes chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces during thread interpolation cycles. With a minimum nominal diameter of 0.4375 inches, it targets 7/16-20 UNF through-hole and blind-hole threading without coolant-through capability, making it appropriate for flood or mist coolant setups. Four flutes provide a balance of strength and chip clearance across a range of workpiece materials.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with standard 3/8-inch collet or end mill holder systems capable of thread interpolation cycles for internal UNF threading applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Secure the shank fully within the collet or tool holder to the manufacturer-specified engagement depth before tightening. Verify spindle runout is within acceptable tolerance before initiating a thread interpolation cycle. Confirm the CNC control is programmed for helical interpolation appropriate to the 7/16-20 UNF thread specification before cutting.
