The ACCUPRO C911-01032 is a helical flute thread mill designed for cutting internal UNF threads in a CNC machining environment. It produces 10-32 threads with a cutting diameter of 0.14 inches and a length of cut of 0.3125 inches. The tool is manufactured from micrograin solid carbide and carries a TiAlN coating for extended tool life in ferrous and high-temp alloy applications. Three right-hand helical flutes provide chip clearance during interpolated thread milling cycles. The 3/16 inch shank diameter fits standard ER collet chucks and shrink-fit holders. At 0.04 pounds, the tool is well-suited for high-speed spindle use.
This thread mill is used in precision machining shops, aerospace component manufacturing, and general metalworking applications where tapped holes are not practical due to material hardness, blind-hole depth constraints, or thread tolerance requirements. Internal thread milling with a helical flute tool allows a single cutter to produce a range of thread diameters through programmatic adjustment, making it a flexible choice for job shops running small batches. It is installed and operated by CNC machinists and tooling specialists.
Designed as an OEM-style thread milling tool for CNC machining centers capable of helical interpolation with a 3/16 inch shank toolholder interface.
Thread mills of this type are installed by CNC machinists using a calibrated collet chuck or shrink-fit holder with the correct 3/16 inch bore. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a thread milling cycle, as excessive runout directly affects thread accuracy. Program the tool path using helical interpolation per the machine control's thread milling canned cycle or a manually coded G02/G03 arc move with Z-axis lead. Always confirm spindle direction and feed rate match the tool's right-hand flute geometry before the first cut.
